Pressure and temperature sensors

There are very few measurements that are as critical to us as temperature. It all starts in the home, where the thermostat is set to a comfortable temperature. Ideally, it should be 20 °C/68 °F, and stay there. A sensor in the thermostat measures the ambient temperature, which in turn is used to control the heater.

This kind of sensor or a simple thermometer is rarely accurate enough for industrial applications, because it is often essential to know the exact temperature in these circumstances, be it for a car engine or in the chemical industry. It all boils down to the fact that different materials react differently to temperature changes. They have a different coefficient of thermal expansion, and if care is not taken, the accuracy of your core process could be severely affected.

Pressure is also an important variable in many applications. It is often even measured together with temperature, and a single sensor can carry out both tasks. These sensors are easy to use, but a combined sensor does tend to be more expensive.
