As of August 1, 2021, it is official. The partnership between Sentech and Belgian company Sensolus. Sensolus develops asset trackers connected to an IoT platform. Through this collaboration, Sentech will take on the sales, installation, and configuration of this solution in the Netherlands.
The container and equipment rental industry relies on thousands of disconnected physical assets. These assets play a critical role in daily processes and workflows. Think of containers, trailers, and transport packaging, for example.
Many companies experience problems because part of these assets are lost and can no longer be traced. It also happens that information about the use of an asset is missing. By equipping an asset with a tracker connected to the internet, you have near real-time insight into the asset's location data.
Sensor integration in asset tracking
You can combine the asset tracker with all sorts of sensors to measure, for example, the temperature and humidity in a container. This sensor integration capability is one of the reasons why Sensolus entered into a partnership with Sentech.
Filip van Lancker, Head of Partnership at Sensolus, on the choice for Sentech: “The Sensolus Solutions are customer-specific. Together with our partners, we create a solution to optimize logistics management and production processes. The Sentech team has the know-how to handle complex integration projects. Their approach and quality make them an excellent partner for Sensolus and for our mutual customers in the Netherlands.”
Marcel Figge, Managing Director of Sentech on Sensolus as a partner: “We are partnering with Sensolus because they have been active in asset tracking for years. They know the ins and outs of the business, from developing reliable hardware to deploying a user-friendly application platform. Their solution offers concrete optimization insights to customers.”
Initially, Sentech will focus on the waste container and equipment rental sectors in the Dutch market. This primarily concerns companies that rent out equipment.
