Link product quality with the design of our production processes
Do you want to understand why a product differs and ensure that the production process is improved? At Sentech, you combine quality assurance on the production floor with Process Engineering. As a Technical Quality Specialist, you combine Quality and Process Engineering. You investigate deviations, set assembly and testing processes in motion, and ensure that new products are well prepared for production.
What you do
You divide your time equally between Quality and Process Engineering. You report to the QEHS Lead and work together with our Process Engineer, Manager Engineering, and colleagues in production. Within this role, you will have your own work package and can discuss technical issues with colleagues.
Within Quality, you investigate what is happening on the production floor. You control products and processes, assess measurement and test results, and help identify the causes of deviations. You discuss your findings with colleagues and monitor whether measures are working.
In Process Engineering, you ensure that products can be manufactured and tested. You assess designs, develop production processes, and oversee the introduction of new or modified products. This involves ensuring a smooth transfer: the right resources, documentation, and instructions must be available to your colleagues in production.
Specifically, this means that you:
- Carries out product and process controls and assesses measurement and test results.
- Investigates deviations and, together with Quality and Production, determines measures to prevent recurrence.
- Product design is evaluated on its ability to be produced and tested.
- Draws up processing plans, determines processing times, and develops technical calculations in advance and after the fact.
- Assembly operations are translated into work instructions that allow colleagues to carry out and monitor the work.
- Organizes production and testing processes, oversees pilot series, and transfers new or modified products to production.
This way, you see your work reflected in fewer recovery efforts, useful instructions, and processes that work in practice.
Who are you?
You figure out how something works and ask when a measurement result or deviation is inexplicable. In doing so, you combine technical analysis with practical experience: you observe on the production floor and use the experience of colleagues to come up with a solution.
You can also explain why a check or process adjustment is necessary. You also address colleagues when agreements are not being followed. You keep track of your work and prioritize when quality issues and planned engineering activities require attention simultaneously.
What we look for in a Technical Quality Specialist
- A completed technical education at MBO+- or HBO-level, for example in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in a production environment with electronic, electrical engineering or mechanical assembly and testing.
- Experience with work preparation and the introduction of new or modified products.
- Knowledge of quality controls, deviation investigations, and production and testing processes.
- You can read and translate technical drawings and specifications into drafting plans and work instructions.
- You can work with ERP software and analyze process and quality data.
- You can communicate about your work in Dutch and English, both orally and in writing.
- Experience with technical calculations and the Bill of Operations is a plus.
- Experience in a high-mix, low-volume production environment is a plus.
Our offer
- A salary range of €4,000 to €5,000 gross per month based on 40 hours, depending on your knowledge and experience.
- 27 vacation days and 13 ADV days based on a full-time employment relationship.
- Working conditions according to the Metalektro collective agreement and a pension scheme for SMEs.
- Space to deepen your knowledge of both Quality and Process Engineering.
- Technical collaboration with colleagues from Quality, Engineering and Production.
- A workplace in Nieuwkuijk, where you work close to the products and production processes.
