Thijs de Jong

As an Intern, I am conducting research on the Optira sensors from MicroE. I’m studying how these sensors relate to other sensors on several key points.

For example, we want to know whether the sensor is easy to put into operation. But also whether you can expect the same robustness you can from other sensors.

At Sentech, you are given the space to be involved with various components during a project. For instance, I help brainstorm in the concept phase. And I then make the first drawings. Later in the process, I ensure that everything functions properly. This involvement and working method really appeal to me.

I’m studying Mechatronics at Fontys in Eindhoven. I, myself, live in Veldhoven. When I was young, I was a member of a Scouting group. Now, as a staff member, I organize youth activities each Saturday.
