Herman Guijt

As Project Lead in our RD&E department, I am responsible for project implementation. I make sure that we make clear agreements with our customers – and that we fulfill them. It is important to deliver according to the agreed quality, costs and delivery time.

In practice, sometimes business runs differently than expected. It is my job to signal this in a timely manner and to take the proper measures so that all those involved know what to expect. In doing so, I feel it is important to make use of the strong characteristics of my team members.

Sentech has a vision for technology and I find that cool! Because of this vision, we all have a collective goal on which we work together. This gives me energy, which helps me achieve these goals. I can really add value in my position by ensuring that projects run in a predictable manner.

The applications that we work on are not new to me. As the son of a gardener, I have a warm heart for agriculture and horticulture. I also know a lot about this sector through my work experience in high-tech.

In my free time, my wife and I enjoy our son. I also play the piano and drums in our church band. Often I am busy recording and editing audio. If there is any spare time left over, I like to take my racing bike to explore the surrounding area.
