Daphne Cleijn

In my role as Facility Manager, I support the Management Team. I also manage the Facility team.

How would I describe myself? Honest, curious, results-oriented and a real all-rounder. I’m always eager to learn why we do the things the way we do. These characteristics really come in handy in my position!

What appeals to me at Sentech are the short lines of communication in the organization, but also the appreciation for taking initiative and the accessibility of employees. I sense a great deal of enthusiasm and drive in all the colleagues I have met so far. They immediately made me feel very welcome, even via a computer screen in this time of coronavirus.

I live in Waalwijk, in an old house which has a large backyard where I like to do bits and pieces. For example, I have a vegetable garden, two square meters in size, where I regularly cultivate beets and potatoes. After all, food is my favorite hobby. That’s true for eating as well as cooking food. Almost every week, I bake my own bread and I try something new.

I’m very much into food trends and health products. Recently, I started mixing some Maca powder and hemp seeds into my soy yogurt. By the way, this doesn’t mean that I only eat low-carbohydrate or low-fat food. Plenty of pastries and homemade pizzas emerge from my oven.

Fortunately my love of exercise helps me to keep things more or less in balance. You’ll find me in the gym several times a week for activities like HIIT and core and strength training. Exercising is a physical and mental release that I really can’t do without!
