I have been working as an Assembly Engineer since February 2022. What I like most about my job? The fact that I can not only put my hands to work, but also my brain. I’m not familiar with sensor technology and that poses a nice challenge. During my first visit to Sentech I immediately noticed that the atmosphere matched the tone of voice of the vacancy.
After graduating from the Professional Goldsmiths School in the Netherlands I worked as an engraver/designer in the paper industry. I later got the opportunity to become a teacher at the Professional School and obtained my teaching certification to this end. I lived in the US for almost a year and then got a job as an engraver/designer again. In the chocolate industry, this time around.
In the past few years I taught various classes on new media to pupils in primary and secondary schools. I did this with one central goal in mind: empowering children in discovering and developing their skills. Giving them enough room for individual contributions paved the way for valuable interactions and processes. That gave me a lot of satisfaction.
I like to spend my free time in nature; going for long walks or bicycle rides with my boyfriend or daughters. But we also like to visit old cities, having a drink on a terrace or seeing an exhibition. Other hobbies include drawing, goldsmithing, designing ceramic products, reading, cooking, dining with friends, dancing, and listening to music.
